Joe Cirillo entered the world of film after retiring from the NY police department thanks to the help of director Mike Nichols, which led Joe to his first film role in The Godfather.  Other films include GhostbustersSplashHarry and Tonto, and Someone to Watch Over Me.

Joe co-starred as Detective Malfitano in the TV series Eischied starring Joe Don Baker, where he also was the assistant to the show’s producer, technical advisor, and location scout.  He was the technical advisor for the Kojak TV series.  As a location scout, Joe worked on many movies including They Call Me Bruce.  In the film NY Cop, Joe was the location manager, production manager, and an uncredited writer credited as an Associate Producer.  He was the president and co-owner of Film World Security and Movie World Security, each providing secutity to film sets and celebrities. Some clients included Frank Sinatra, Barbra Streisand, Ton Hanks, Robert DiNiro and Richard Gere.   Joe has published his memoirs, “An Offer I couldn’t Refuse”, avaibale on Amazon.   Joe has international notoriety for his comic line in Ghostbusters.
